When Suzuran Is Most Useful
Easier to Trigger a Perfect Dodge
A Perfect Dodge is basically the invincibility window naturally built into Hinako’s dodge. If an enemy’s attack overlaps with that invincible window, a Perfect Dodge occurs (or at least, that’s how I interpret it).
Suzuran extends that invincibility window, making it extremely helpful on the defensive side.
Among the Omamori you can obtain during your first playthrough, it’s one of the strongest.
That said, it only makes Perfect Dodges a bit easier—not dramatically easier. Your overall consistency will improve, but the game still demands that you read enemy attack timings correctly.

Dolphin
【Dolphin】
Slightly restores maximum Sanity when performing a Perfect Dodge.
From Draw Omamori
Since each Perfect Dodge restores some of your maximum Sanity, you can throw out Focus Attacks without hesitation.
Rabbit
【Rabbit】Location: Middle School (New Game+)
Allows performing a Counter with a Heavy Attack during a Perfect Dodge.
Stamina drops to 0 when successful.
It pairs exceptionally well with Rabbit, one of the strongest Omamori in the game.
