When Bear Is Most Useful
Easier to Stagger Enemies
If you can force a Stagger, you can deal increased damage during that window — and safely, too.
Since this functions almost like a direct damage buff, builds centered around Bear are quite viable.
Weapons with low durability tend to break quickly, but with the right setup you can keep using them even at the brink of breaking.
Recommended Omamori Combinations
Crab

Weapon durability does not decrease while in Focus.

While in Focus, your weapon’s durability will not decrease — not even when guarding.
If you equip Crab while using a low-durability weapon (or after intentionally wearing one down), you can attack in Focus and maintain the Bear effect with ease.
Beetle
【Beetle】
Greatly increases damage dealt to Staggered enemies.

If you can trigger Stagger more easily, then Beetle — which lets you further capitalize on those openings — also pairs very well with it.
