Head Toward the Upper-Right Area of Ebisugaoka

You can find healing items and offering items around the Chizuruya General Store and the upper part of the map.

Amida-Shirakawa Map
You can re-enter the area where you previously chased the mist creature. At you'll find a Tool kit, and at a Dried Carcass.
At you'll find Ramune, at a First Aid Kit, and at some Higashi.
At you'll find a Shoulder Bag. This increases your inventory capacity, so make sure to pick it up.
In the yard at you'll find Divine Water. Inside the construction site at , you'll find Arare, Kudzu Tea, a Steel Pipe, and a Bandage mixed among the construction materials.
At you'll find Higashi. At you'll find a Ema, and past the wooden planks, a Weapon [Sickle].
Follow the Blue Arrow to the Red Circle, which marks Sakuko’s Mailbox. You can ignore it for now, but once you obtain the Key to Sakuko's Mailbox at Sennensugi Shrine, come back here. You'll receive the Omamori [Spider] and unlock an Achievement.
Things to Know
【Ema】
By offering Faith and one Ema at a Hokora, you can enhance various stats.
My future self apparently wasted too much Faith testing Omikuji, leaving nothing for upgrades, so don't make the same mistake—save some Faith for Ema.

Explore the Fields Area

Amida-Shirakawa Map 2
At you'll find Chocolate. In front of the house at there’s a First Aid Kit, and if you circle around to the back from below, you can pick up a Journal Entry. If you loop around from above, you’ll find a Dried Carcass at .
You can climb the ladder behind the house at and enter through a second-floor window. After checking things upstairs, head down to the first floor to grab Kudzu Tea and Arare, then examine the box to obtain a Drawer Key. It’s also worth opening the bed canopy while you’re here.
Bring that key back upstairs to unlock the wardrobe and collect a Journal Entry. In the room that was previously blocked off, you can pick up another Journal Entry and an Omamori [Pine] from the wardrobe.
At there’s a Bandage, and at some Arare.
leads toward Sennensugi Shrine, where you can pick up a Key to Sakuko's Mailbox, Arare, an Antique Comb, and Divine Water. It’s a bit of a trek, but this is what lets you open Sakuko’s mailbox back in town.
At there’s a Steel Pipe. At you’ll find a Tool Kit and a Red Capsule. At there’s Yokan, and at a Newspaper Clipping.
When you pass through , an enemy will jump out from the right and grab you, so move in cautiously. After dealing with it, you can pick up Chocolate from where it appeared.
In the area marked , make sure to collect all nearby items before interacting with the well.
Trying to take the well key will trigger the Boss Fight [Araabare].

Boss Strategy: Araabare

You Don’t Need to Defeat It

Yes, you can beat it — but there’s absolutely no reason to. It’s just a hassle.

As Shu mentioned, entering the barn is essentially the end of the encounter. However, the key drops into the well, so you’ll need to pull it back up.

Lure It Away and Crank the Well

The entire area is shaped like a figure-eight. While slowly luring the boss toward one end, turn the crank on the well.

It’s incredibly heavy — each crank takes around 7 seconds. Do this three times to obtain the key.

Action: Hard After your first successful crank, a minion will appear. Take care of it while watching the boss’s movement; if you leave it alive, cranking becomes nearly impossible.

Once you retrieve the key and enter the barn, immediately move the stacked items on the left. Ignore the two minions inside, climb out through the high window, and you’re done.
