Purchased at a Hokora Using Faith It's possible that each Hokora has its own fixed pool of Omamori it can draw from. I'm still testing this, so the details may change—sorry for the back-and-forth. Also, the amount of Faith required increases each time you draw. Should You Keep Drawing? I don’t really recommend spending all your Faith on Draw Omamori. The reason is that strengthening Hinako’s stats through Ema also consumes Faith. Try to balance these two uses, and draw only when you have some room to spare. Omamori Obtained from Draw Omamori There are 23 types in total. Completing the full set unlocks an Achievement. The total Faith required is 20,200. 【SILENT HILL f】Weapon Handling Basics

This article explains the basics of Weapon Handling. We go over the characteristics of each weapon, recommended choices, and how to keep using your favorite weapons effectively, so use this guide to assist you throughout your playthrough. Types of Weapons Steel Pipe / Baseball Bat / Crowbar Light Attack Performs up to a three-hit combo. Since the recovery time is relatively long, recklessly swinging at enemies can leave you open to Counterattacks. Heavy Attack A single charged downward strike. The recovery time is quite large, but if you time it as the enemy gets up from a Stagger, you can land it again and sometimes secure consecutive Staggers. You can also preemptively start the attack before an approaching enemy enters range to catch them as they move in. I don’t particularly recommend this, but it can be effective in slow-paced 1v1 situations. Focus Attack You quickly step in and swing with full force. Because it comes out fast and closes the distance instantly, landing the attack is relatively safe. If enemies are clustered together, it can even hit multiple targets. Broken Baseball Bat The Baseball Bat is the only weapon that breaks once its durability runs out. Once broken, its sharpened end changes the attack animations to match those of a Kitchen Knife. Sickle / Kitchen Knife Light Attack Fast consecutive strikes with very little opening. They make breaking the cocoons of Tumor Woman particularly easy. Sickle: Its damage is respectable, but compared to Steel Pipe–type weapons, the Sickle tends to break a bit more ...

【SILENT HILL f】Sanity and Focus: Things to Know

This guide explains Sanity and the Focus state. It summarizes mechanics you’ll want to understand during combat, so use it to assist you throughout your playthrough. Sanity and Focus Mechanics The bar above your Health is the Sanity gauge. The crescent icon represents your weapon’s durability, while the glowing outer rim can essentially be considered your Focus gauge. To put it another way, Focus is Hinako’s engine, and Sanity is the fuel that keeps it running. Sanity is consumed to maintain Focus A normal Focus state extends the duration of the Counter visual cue. On top of that, when the crescent gauge is fully illuminated—putting you in a Focus MAX state—you gain a buff that increases the damage of all your attacks. The effect resets after one use. ← Focus MAX state Additionally, a Light Attack performed during Focus MAX becomes a 【Focus Attack】, which deals heavy damage and has a high chance of inflicting stun on normal enemies. It also comes out quickly and has long reach, making it difficult for enemies to punish. In short, entering a Focus state gives Hinako the means to fight more effectively, and Sanity is the resource required to sustain it—so managing it carefully is essential. The Difference Between Sanity and Max Sanity Let’s review the meaning of “Max Sanity”, which appears occasionally throughout the game. Actions that consume Sanity Maintaining a Focus state consumes Sanity. This is its primary use. Releasing the button immediately stops the consumption, but the Focus gauge resets back to the beginning. Consumed ...

【SILENT HILL f】How to Counter and Perfect Dodge

This guide explains how to perform a Counter and a Perfect Dodge. It covers the timing required to execute them and the benefits gained when performed successfully, so use this guide to assist you throughout your playthrough. What Is a Counter? ・Perform a Heavy Attack during the Counter sign A Guaranteed Knockdown Counter Triggered During Specific Attacks As shown in the GIF above, some enemy attacks produce a distorted reversal-like effect during their motion. Pressing the Heavy Attack button at this moment turns the tide and lets you deal damage instead—this is the Counter. It does a fairly good amount of damage, and as a bonus, you are invincible during the Counter animation. Regular enemies are guaranteed to be stunned, allowing you to follow up with additional hits. Bosses, however, may not always be stunned depending on their accumulated damage, but at the very least, their motion will be interrupted. Since stunned enemies take increased damage, most regular foes can be defeated—or have around 80% of their Health taken out—with a single combo starting from a Counter. Against bosses, it can account for roughly 70% of your total damage output (based on my experience), making it extremely important. Either way, the effect is your cue to strike—make sure to aim for Counters whenever you see it. Counterable Attacks Vary by Enemy Each enemy has different attack patterns. Some enemies have multiple attacks that can be Countered, while others may only have one. It can be a bit of a hassle, but if you have room ...

【SILENT HILL f】All Inventory Capacity Upgrade Item Locations

This is a list of all locations where you can obtain Inventory Capacity Upgrade Items. We explain their uses, where to find them, and when they become available, all with images for clarity, so use this guide to assist you throughout your playthrough. What Are Inventory Capacity Upgrade Items? Increases Your Inventory Slots When Obtained By default, you can only carry up to 8 items. Each Inventory Capacity Upgrade Item increases your available inventory slots by one. As your inventory tends to fill up quickly in this game, even a single extra slot makes exploration noticeably easier. Collecting all of these Items will unlock an Achievement. Some of them are only available in New Game Plus, so completing multiple playthroughs is required if you want to unlock it. Stack Limits Differ by Item Type Each item type has its own maximum stack limit. For example, Bandage can be stacked up to three per slot. So if you have four Bandages, they will occupy two slots in your inventory — three in one slot and one in another. On the other hand, a First Aid Kit stacks only one per slot, so carrying three of them will consume three slots — a real burden on your inventory space. When your inventory is full and you attempt to pick up a new item, you may exchange it with something you already have. However, the exchanged item will be discarded permanently. Depending on the item, it is often better to use it before discarding — especially on higher ...

【SILENT HILL f】How to Obtain Ema and All Locations

This is a list of all locations where you can obtain Ema. We explain their uses, where to find them, and when they become available, all with images for clarity, so use this guide to assist you throughout your playthrough. What Are Ema? Used to Enhance Hinako’s Stats You can use Ema to enhance four attributes: Health, Sanity, Stamina, and the number of Increase Omamori slots. As the game progresses, battles become more intense, so upgrading these stats at the right time will help you adapt more easily. Consumes Faith as Well Each time you upgrade a stat, the amount of Faith required increases. Omamori upgrades in particular require a surprisingly high amount of Faith, but they also provide the most noticeable benefits in combat. Recommended Upgrade Priorities by Action Difficulty ※These rankings are based solely on my personal judgment and preferences. 【Story】 Omamori Slot > Sanity > Stamina > Health Having just one additional Omamori slot is usually enough. Expanding slots any further becomes surprisingly expensive. Sanity functions like a skill gauge. Not only does it make Parry Counters easier to perform while in Focus, but it also lets you stagger enemies with Focus Attacks. Since you can fully recover Sanity for free by calming yourself at a Hokora, having a longer Sanity gauge gives you a clear advantage. 【Hard】 Omamori Slot > Stamina ≧ Health > Sanity At this difficulty, restoring Sanity at a Hokora consumes Faith. This means relying too heavily on Focus-based combat makes it difficult to accumulate Faith. In that ...

【SILENT HILL f】Boss Strategy Guide & Solutions for When You Get Stuck

This is a summary of boss strategies for each stage. We also explain specific countermeasures for situations where you can’t take them down, so use this guide to assist you throughout your playthrough. ※For clarity, this guide applies unofficial labels to bosses whose official names have not been disclosed. These names are used solely for reference purposes. Boss List Araabare Priestess Tumor Woman Drum Ritual Overseer Husband and Wife Shiromuku Tsukumogami Shichibi When You Can't Beat a Boss Learn Their Attack Patterns If you take the time to understand a boss’s attack habits and patterns, you’ll drastically reduce the number of hits you take, making the fight far more manageable. Identifying which attacks can be countered with a Parry Counter is just as important. You don’t have to win while you’re still observing. It’s perfectly fine to lose—your goal is to study the movements and patterns so that your next attempt becomes the clear victory. It’s just like Monster Hunter. Adjust Your Equipment Reevaluating your Omamori setup to better match boss encounters is one of the most effective strategies. 【Whale】 and 【Cat】 can still be useful, but 【Spider】 and 【Wolf】 often become dead weight depending on the fight. Most boss battles occur in the Dark Shrine, an otherworldly stage. Weapons like the Naginata used here do not have durability, meaning the effects from 【Spider】 and 【Wolf】 won’t activate. Swapping to Omamori better suited for the encounter is highly recommended. Related Guide → Omamori List and Locations Strengthen Your Stats You can enhance Hinako at the ...

【SILENT HILL f】How to Obtain PP-8001 and Its Stats

This guide explains how to obtain the hidden weapon [PP-8001] and how it performs in combat, so use this guide to assist you throughout your playthrough. How to Obtain PP-8001 Available from Your Second Playthrough You can obtain PP-8001 when starting a new run using save data where the Ending [The Great Space Invasion!] has already been cleared. After securing this Ending, I tested a separate playthrough that had not viewed it, and PP-8001 did not become obtainable there. Simply Inspect the Poster You can obtain it on your way to Amida-Shirakawa (Rinko’s house) after returning from the Shrine Path. All you need to do is inspect the first Poster located at the blue circle in the image above. You don’t need to listen to the radio at all. Performance of PP-8001 It may be a gag weapon, but it does have a few noteworthy strengths. Causes Wide-Area Stagger with a Fully Charged Strike The first Focus Attack boosts the weapon’s power, and unleashing a second Focus Attack while the blade is glowing will knock down nearby enemies in a wide area, leaving them unable to act for a short time. However, spamming this move gradually reduces your maximum Sanity. If you counteract this downside with the right Omamori, it can become surprisingly reliable — way more than a joke weapon has any right to be. Its Performance Scales with the Number of Endings Obtained The text mentions that its durability, attack power, and animations will change. From our testing, it seems to reference the ...
