This is the walkthrough for Chapter 1 “Necropolis” – Late.
This guide is written from a single-player perspective, but the puzzles, combat details, and Doll locations can help co-op players as well. Each step is explained with images so you can follow along smoothly.

Things to Know
Collect All 5 Dolls to Unlock the Achievement
Across Necropolis, a total of 5 Dolls are hidden, and picking them all up will unlock the Achievement "Toy Box" trophy.
In the Late section of this walkthrough, you can collect 2 Dolls at points ① and ⑥, so try to grab them along the way. (In the Early section, you can collect 3 Dolls.)
Necropolis (Late) Walkthrough
① (Doll Point)
After the cutscene ends and you regain control, head into the room on the left. There’s a Doll on the floor.
Once you’re done, return to the center and climb up the ledge on the right to move to the next floor—but do not rush or sprint here.

Follow the path and a stealth section with the Monster Baby will begin, so use cover to stay hidden as you work your way toward the right edge.
Its gaze pattern is a bit tricky, so stay calm and watch the timing carefully.

For the staircase that’s too high to reach, have both characters pull the crate underneath it and use it as a platform to climb up.
On the upper floor, break through the wall with the Wrench to proceed.

After moving forward for a while and climbing the ladder, first use the Wrench to break Statue Head ①.
Next, cut the damaged Rope ② with the Bow. When the bell rings, quickly hide behind Crate ③.
After the event, move on to ④.

When Alone, equipped with the Wrench, turns Machine ①, the floor opens and an updraft blows upward. Low should equip the Umbrella and ride it up to Floor ②.
Pull Lever ③ to lower Ladder ④, allowing Alone to reach the upper floor as well.
Once the two are reunited, pry off the Planks at ⑤ and move on.
① Equip the wrench and turn it
② Equip the umbrella and move to the upper floor
③ Pull the lever
④ A ladder appears
⑤ Peel off the board and move forward
⑥ (Doll Point)
After dropping down the ledge into the next floor, quickly equip the Umbrella so you don’t fall to your death.
Continue forward into the corridor and pick up the Doll at the far end.

Have one character boost the other up onto Rock Platform ① with RT, then climb Ladder ② and head over to Cart ③.
The character who did the lifting waits at Position ④, then grabs the Rope hanging from Cart ⑤ being pulled by their partner.
After that, push the cart back to Position ⑥, drop down onto the blue circle, and turn the crank to open the iron gate.
① Have your partner lift you up
② Climb the ladder
③ Move to the cart on the right →
④ Wait here
⑤ Pull the cart so your partner can grab the rope
⑥ Push the cart back to carry your partner to this spot and turn the crank

Move the crate into place and use it as a platform to climb the ledge. Proceed forward and another stealth section with the Monster Baby will begin.
Use cover to sneak up to around its face, then cut the rope of the wooden crate above on the right with the Bow.
Use that crate as your last piece of cover and move all the way to the right to get through.
Dropping the crate will draw the Monster Baby’s attention, so you can also sprint straight past it during that window if you prefer.

Keep moving forward until the Monster Baby grabs the platform, then first hide behind the central object.
Wait a moment and a wooden crate will fall—move behind the crate.
Stay still there and you’ll be fine.

After that, just equip the Umbrella and drop down into the hole.
Touch the mirror to finish Necropolis.
