When Weasel Is Most Useful
A pure boost to your damage output
In terms of raw damage increase, this Omamori stands shoulder to shoulder with Swallow.
The listed drawback is that enemies will not stagger. However, I was still able to confirm a borderline stagger using the Sickle’s Heavy Attack, so it isn’t absolute. Still, the occurrence of staggers drops dramatically.
Rest assured that Focus Attacks and Counters can still stagger enemies properly.
Because it also prevents you from interrupting enemy actions, you’ll be more exposed to counterattacks. Taking all of this into account, this Omamori is best suited for boss fights — those enemies rarely stagger anyway.
Recommended Omamori Combinations
No matter what build you run, this Omamori naturally appears as a straightforward way to boost your damage output.
However, because it leaves you open to counterattacks, pairing it with a build that centers on Counters or on using Focus Attack as your main damage source lets you reliably force staggers and regain control of the fight.
For the record, even when equipped together with Bear — which normally makes low-durability weapons stagger enemies more easily — Weasel’s behavior took priority, and I was barely able to trigger any staggers.
